TEAM TIME

After announcing the WOD Gear Team Series will be opening up sign ups for their next event, I have received a lot of requests/interests from our members to be on a team. I thought this would be a great opportunity to let everyone in on our plans for the event.

Since our little gym is growing, the interest in completion is growing right along side it. In the past we barley had enough people to field a team, now we have a healthy pot of individuals ready to step up to the challenge. Here's the deal - TSAC will be fielding 2 teams, the teams are made up of two men and two woman. Our goal is to provide a fair, non-biased chance for all members to be on one of these teams. To accomplish this, we will be hosting a qualification series internally for all to participate in. This will also help us properly place members on the correct team.

We plan to create 3 WOD's, that will help us identify the required skill level and abilities of our athletes in order to most fairly and effectively create our teams. These WOD's will more than likely be part of our normal programming so if you would like to participate just to see how you stack up - feel free. The WOD's will have prescribed weights and standards that must be upheld if you are hoping to compete. For those of you who participated in the OC Throwdown qualifier or CrossFit Open, you are probably familiar with the format. I look forward to seeing you all participate!

RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!

Is the title of our next group based 5k. It's going to be a seriously fun event in which your goal is to survive a zombie Apocalypse. Several of us have already registered under the team name "CrossFit TSAC". My goal is to get a large group together and make this a repeat of the ROC Race. I'm going to have shirts made special for the event. You can register HERE.

Just wanted to provide a quick event reminder: June 9th at Casa De La Alex we will be hosting the Paleo Challenge/Congrats Andy party. This event will be one to remember so I hope you all can make it.
